Greetings from our beach home on South Padre Island!

A new year is unfolding with ocean breezes, meaningful art, and beautiful music filling our space. Whether you’re strolling in from the beach or planning a special night out, we’re so happy to welcome you in.

On the Walls Now: Spatial

If you haven’t seen it yet (or want another look), our exhibition Spatial is still up. This show explores inner and outer space - how art holds room for reflection, stillness, and expansion. It continues to be a favorite for thoughtful viewing and conversation.

A Colorful Art Fun Fact

For centuries, art historians believed Michelangelo intentionally painted the Sistine Chapel ceiling in a subdued, almost monochromatic palette, assuming he favored a sculptural, austere aesthetic focused on form over color.

The reality? Candle smoke, dust, and grime.

Centuries of soot from candlelight dulled the frescoes, even during Michelangelo’s lifetime, and he himself lamented how quickly the paintings appeared dirty. That buildup masked the true brilliance of his colors for generations - until modern restoration revealed their vibrancy once again.
